Frequently asked
questions

How do I turn an image into a Perler bead pattern?

Open the bead maker, upload your image, and choose a grid size and palette. Adjust the color limit, clean up the grid with the editing tools, then export your pattern and bead counts. Direct image conversion runs in your browser; AI styling is optional.

Can I use this fuse bead pattern maker with Perler beads?

You can use the square grid to plan a Perler bead project. BeadColor includes a MARD reference palette and digital colors, rather than a built-in official Perler color chart. Import a palette with your bead codes or match the colors to your supplies. BeadColor is an independent tool and is not affiliated with Perler.

How does AI styling work?

Upload a photo and choose Cartoon, Chibi, Flat illustration, or Retro pixel. Review the styled image, then convert it into a bead grid you can edit and print. You can also skip AI styling and convert your original image directly.

Are AI styles free to try?

You can explore the prepared examples for free. Generating a new style from your own photo requires an account, AI credits, and an available AI service. The generation screen shows availability and the credit cost before you start; pattern export limits are separate.

Can I make my first pattern for free?

Yes. Create, edit and export 29 × 29 patterns with up to 16 colors without signing in. Free includes three different patterns per UTC day in this browser, with same-day revisions included.

Which bead colors are supported?

Choose the MARD 221-color reference palette, import a brand palette, or use digital colors. You can exclude unavailable colors and protect important shades during conversion. Digital colors are not physical bead codes, and screen colors are approximate: compare with your beads before buying or making.

Can I edit individual beads?

Yes. Draw, erase, fill, pick colors, replace colors and undo your changes in Bead Maker. Your project and crafting progress can be saved on this device.
